THE FIRST FALL FORAY OF 2024 IS ALMOST HERE!

We will Be having our first Foray at Afton Park in Hastings on October 18th.

Afton State ParkGrand oaks and delicate prairie flowers grace the rugged, rolling landscape of this park. Trails traverse remnant and restored prairies, wind down deep ravines and rise up to the grassy ridgetops and bluffs overlooking the scenic St. Croix River. The trails are perfect for hikers, horseback riders and cross-country skiers. The park offers visitors a swimming beach, backpack campsites and a visitor center with interpretive displays.

Purpose

Formed in 2012, the Mycology Club at the University of Minnesota is a platform for learning, teaching and celebrating fungal biology. Our aim is to connect fungi enthusiasts around campus and in our community through hands-on workshops, educational lectures, journal discussions, outreach, and forays.

You do not have to study fungi, or even conduct research to be a part of our group. Only a passion for all things Fungi is required for membership!
